Reliance Jio 5G AGM: Reliance Jio Annual General Meeting was held today. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani addressed the company’s 45th AGM through video conferencing.

A big announcement was also made regarding Reliance Jio’s 5G services.

The AGM of Reliance Jio is organized in the month of August every year. Mukesh Ambani launched Jio at the AGM held in 2016. Since then, Jio has now become the largest telecom company in the country with more than 40 crore users. Ambani made many big announcements in this meeting today. Meanwhile, Ambani announced that Reliance Jio’s 5G service will be available beginning with Diwali.

Mukesh Ambani also announced deals with chip manufacturers Qualcomm, Intel, Samsung, Meta, Nokia, and Google during the AGM. He also said that a cheap 5G phone has also been launched with Google. “Today the number of customers has crossed 42.1 crores. Jio customers use an average of 20 GB of data every month. This number is double that of last year. Jio Fiber covers an area of 11 lakh km. Two out of every three customers in the country use Jio Fiber. Doing, “Ambani also said. Mobile broadband service through Jio 5G will be excellent. Jio will launch 5G services in more than 100 cities soon. He also expressed his belief that 100 million homes were to be made smart through 5G.

Starting from metro cities,

Reliance Jio will invest Rs 2 lakh crore in a 5G network. This service will be launched first in metro cities. By December 2023, 5G services will be launched in every city. The company will roll out 5G across the country using wired and wireless services.

Reliance Jio has also announced stand-alone 5G services. This means that the company will not have to use the infrastructure of 4G for 5G services. Jio has purchased the premium 700 MHz band to provide northern coverage. This band is considered the best for 5G services. Jio’s 5G service will be launched around Diwali in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata.
